Hi! Welcome to Sarah J online art gallery. We are so happy you are visiting.  Sarah J is an Australian artist, living on the fringe of the Yarra Valley in Victoria. Sarah  has been an artist since she was little, drawing and painting whatever surrounded her. It was, and always has been her place of peace, and contentment.  As a little girl, her favourite things were to draw flowers and waterfalls. Over the years, Sarah has continued to capture her love affair with nature, and wildlife, preferring to use different mediums, depending on the subject matter and mood that she wishes to create.  Sarah has a definitive style, and enjoys using vibrant colours, mainly working acrylic paints and soft pastels, as well as other mediums.  As well as having a deep love of nature, Sarah J is a deeply spiritual person, and sees God,  as the ultimate artist in all creation.   This continues to inspire her to create beautiful artwork. Sarah J was born in England, and spent her younger years in San Francisco, California, and then migrated to Melbourne, Australia in the 1980's.   Sarah loves Australia, and her own words; "Australia is a beautiful country, filled with inspiring landscapes, animals and pristine beaches.  I am so grateful to live in such a beautiful country and its beauty amazes me everyday."​In 1996, Sarah was invited to be a part of a combined art exhibition, with other local Victorian artists, at an emerging local art gallery in Melbourne CBD, Victoria. The paintings were mostly of local scenes around the Melbourne area, and the chosen medium was soft pastels and conte.​When Sarah turned 50, she decided it was time to actively pursue her artistic dreams, and so her exciting new adventure began!
